Team Phoebe Mission Statement:
The mission of Team Phoebe is support the family of Phoebe Galloway a two-year old girl born with WAGR syndrome and fighting kidney cancer, support all families affected by WAGRs and promote knowledge and awareness of WAGR syndrome to fuel future research. One Team. Team Phoebe. About Phoebe Galloway Teigan Galloway is one of our newest English teachers at Lassiter HS. Teigan’s two-year-old daughter, Phoebe, was born with a rare genetic condition called WAGR Syndrome. The W stands for Wilms Tumors, which present in approximately 50% of WAGR patients. In August 2018, Phoebe was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The prevalence of WAGR syndrome ranges from 1 in 500,000 to 1,000,000 individuals. Due to the rare nature of the condition raising money for WAGRs is incredibly difficult. |
